Bridges’ work is primarily concerned with the relationship between sensory experiences, specifically how the sonic and visual aspects of our reality can overlap. He has continued to work with sound as his principal medium, working to visualize sound and music as well as to create sound-producing visual objects and interactive instruments. He is constantly experimenting with new media and challenging conventional forms and models of art making. His experimentation with sound has manifested in many forms from performance and installations to photography and digital media. His work seeks to allow one to understand one sense through the lens of another, from the audible to the optical and from the perceptible to the imperceptible.
